As we move through another exciting year at Crown Isle, I wanted to provide residents with an update on several development projects currently underway and share a glimpse into the future growth planned for our community.

Heatherstone by Integra Homes

Construction is progressing on Heatherstone by Integra Homes, located in Greystone Estates adjacent to the golf course. This boutique development will consist of 13 thoughtfully designed patio homes situated along the 8th and 9th fairways of the golf course.

Heatherstone will offer homeowners the opportunity to enjoy low-maintenance living while remaining connected to the natural beauty and lifestyle amenities that make Crown Isle such a desirable place to call home. As construction advances, we appreciate the patience of nearby residents and look forward to welcoming new homeowners to the community.

The RISE – Phase VI

Planning and development activities continue for Phase VI of The RISE, located on the north side of Ryan Road. This significant expansion area will include two multi-family development sites and approximately 20 single-family residential lots, further diversifying housing opportunities within Crown Isle.

The first multi-family parcel has been acquired by Primex Investments, which intends to develop a purpose-built rental project designed to help meet the growing demand for quality rental housing in the Comox Valley.

The second multi-family site has been purchased by Monterra Projects. Monterra has completed preliminary designs for Horizon Ridge, a 54-unit townhouse development that will provide homeownership opportunities for residents seeking full-time living within the Crown Isle community. Additional information regarding this project will be shared as planning and approvals continue.

Additional Rental Housing and Commercial Development

Beyond Phase VI, Primex Investments is also advancing plans for an additional 140-unit purpose-built rental development located adjacent to Galaxy Motors. The project is expected to include a component of ground-floor commercial space, creating opportunities for future neighbourhood-serving businesses while contributing additional housing supply to our growing region.

The continued investment in rental housing reflects both the strength of the local market and the increasing demand for diverse housing options throughout the Comox Valley that are close to the Air Base, the Comox Valley Regional Hospital, and North Island College.

Looking Ahead

As Crown Isle continues to evolve, our development team remains focused on thoughtful, long-term planning. We are actively working through the planning process for lands extending east from the existing automobile dealership corridor toward Phase VI. These lands represent an important future growth area and will be carefully planned to ensure they integrate seamlessly with existing neighbourhoods and community amenities.

At the same time, we continue to work collaboratively with local and provincial government agencies on environmental review and permitting processes associated with lands located behind Corinthia Estates and Britannia Place. These environmental assessments are a critical step in understanding and responsibly planning for the long-term future of these properties.

Building for the Future

The continued growth of Crown Isle reflects the confidence that residents, builders, and investors have in our community and in the future of the Comox Valley. While development brings change, it also creates opportunities to enhance housing choices, support local businesses, and strengthen the overall vitality of our region.

On behalf of the entire Crown Isle team, thank you for your ongoing support and patience as these projects progress. We look forward to sharing additional updates as new milestones are reached and as we continue building a vibrant, sustainable community for current and future residents.
