Mimi’s Original Art Gallery recently welcomed guests for another enjoyable Sip & Shop evening, bringing together local artists, community leaders, and supporters of the arts for a relaxed night of creativity, conversation, and refreshments.
Hosted by Paradise Living Magazine Publisher Ivette Fermaint in partnership with Michelle “Mimi” Connors, owner of Mimi’s Original Art Gallery, and Gallery Curator Maggie Evans, the event provided visitors with an opportunity to browse an impressive collection of original artwork while enjoying complimentary wine and hors d’oeuvres in the gallery’s inviting atmosphere.
Among those attending were Steve Bliss, advertising executive and co-publisher of several community lifestyle magazines, including Ormond Beach Living and Coastal Living, along with Pat Stone, publisher of Port Orange Neighbors. Yours truly, Sean Donovan, writer and content coordinator for this magazine, was there as well. Throughout the evening, guests mingled with local artists, exchanged ideas, and explored the gallery’s ever-changing collection of artwork and handcrafted gifts.
Spanning more than 6,000 square feet, Mimi’s Original Art Gallery showcases an eclectic mix of original paintings, sculpture, fine jewelry, home décor, apparel, mixed media, and other unique creations by talented local and regional artists. The gallery continues to serve as both a destination for art lovers and a welcoming venue where artists and the community can connect.
Michelle Connors founded Mimi’s Original Art in 2014 after years of traveling the world and drawing inspiration from the people, places, and cultures she encountered. What began as a small venture featuring a handful of paintings and greeting cards has grown into one of the area’s premier galleries, representing more than 25 artists and offering an exceptional selection of original artwork and distinctive gifts.
Events like Sip & Shop are a reminder that local galleries are about more than just displaying beautiful artwork—they’re places where creativity, conversation, and community come together under one roof.
If you haven’t yet visited Mimi’s Original Art Gallery, you’ll find it at 1385 N. U.S. Highway 1 in Ormond Beach.
