Every great community has traditions that bring people together. In Oviedo, one of the newest—and fastest growing—is ¡Viva Oviedo!, a celebration of Hispanic heritage that has quickly become much more than a festival. It has become a reflection of the community itself.
On Saturday, October 17, Center Lake Park will once again come alive with the sights, sounds and flavors of Hispanic culture. Families will spend the day enjoying live music, folkloric performances, local artists, authentic cuisine, children’s activities and businesses from throughout Central Florida. What began as a vision to celebrate the rich traditions and contributions of Hispanic Americans has evolved into one of Seminole County’s signature community events—bringing together neighbors from every background to celebrate culture, unity and belonging.
This year’s theme, “Salud Es Vida… Health Is Life,” feels especially fitting.
While those words naturally speak to physical and mental wellness, they also reflect something larger: healthy communities are built when people gather, celebrate one another and invest in experiences that make everyone feel welcome.
