On September 26, 2026, hundreds of community leaders, supporters, and survivors will gather at the JW Marriott Austin for the Texas Advocacy Project’s 20th Annual Black & White Ball sponsored by DaBella—an evening dedicated to hope, healing, and changing lives.
For Lake Travis resident Jamie Imber, returning as Chair of this milestone event is both an honor and a reminder of the power of community. “The Black & White Ball is more than a gala,” says Imber. “It’s an opportunity for all of us to come together and make a meaningful difference for Texans facing some of life’s most difficult circumstances.”
Texas Advocacy Project (TAP) is a nonprofit organization that provides free legal and social services to survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, child abuse, and human trafficking. Through legal representation, safety planning, education, and advocacy, TAP helps thousands of Texans each year find safety, stability, and a path forward.
This year’s Black & White Ball promises an unforgettable evening in support of survivors across Texas. Guests will enjoy an inspiring program, powerful stories of hope and resilience, exciting live and silent auctions, and an energetic Afterglow celebration. Every ticket purchased, sponsorship secured, and auction bid placed helps ensure survivors can find safety, seek justice, and rebuild their lives.
BMW of Austin returns as the Afterglow Sponsor, helping create one of the evening’s most anticipated experiences while demonstrating its continued commitment to giving back to the Central Texas community. “At BMW of Austin, we believe in giving where you live,” says Tracy Gurnett, General Manager of BMW of Austin. “Supporting organizations like Texas Advocacy Project allows us to invest directly in the communities we serve and help create safer, stronger futures for Texas families. The Black & White Ball brings together people who care deeply about making a difference, and we are proud to support an event that delivers such meaningful impact.”
As TAP celebrates over four decades of impact, the organization continues to expand its reach, ensuring that vulnerable Texans can access justice regardless of their financial circumstances. The Black & White Ball plays a vital role in making that mission possible.
Whether you are interested in attending, sponsoring, giving, or simply learning more about the cause, there is a place for everyone in this effort. Community support has always been at the heart of the event’s success, and new supporters are welcomed each year.
