Whether you’re ordering shirts for a youth sports team, school club, booster organization or special event, choosing the right printer is only part of the process. A successful apparel order starts with asking the right questions before you ever approve the design.
Start with the artwork. Make sure your printer can work with your existing logo or design and can provide the finished artwork in a format that will produce a clean, professional print. If you’re using a school or team logo, verify that the artwork is approved for use and that you are working with an authorized vendor when required.
Know your quantities and sizes. It sounds simple, but this is one of the easiest places for an order to go wrong. Collect sizes carefully, determine whether you’ll need youth and adult options, and consider ordering a few extras. Last-minute additions are much easier to accommodate when you have planned ahead.
Ask about the shirt itself. Not all T-shirts are created equal. Fabric, weight, fit and brand can make a significant difference in how a shirt looks and feels. A good printer should be able to explain your options and help you choose a garment appropriate for your budget and the people wearing it.
Understand the pricing. Ask whether setup fees, artwork charges, individual names or numbers, multiple print locations and shipping are included in the quoted price. A lower per-shirt price isn’t necessarily the lowest overall cost if additional fees are added later.
Finally, ask about the timeline. Give yourself more time than you think you’ll need, particularly during busy seasons. Build in time for artwork approval, collecting sizes, production and delivery.
At Georgia Spirit Wear, we know that team and school orders involve more than putting a logo on a shirt. Our goal is to make the entire process, from artwork and garment selection to sizing and delivery, organized, straightforward and stress-free. When you’re ordering for an entire group, experience matters.
