Imagine ditching the crowded theater lines, overpriced popcorn, and noisy crowds, all while stepping into an entertainment space that rivals Hollywood’s finest screening rooms. In Chandler’s Circle G at the Gerovacs Residence, local home integration experts Spartan Concepts did just that, turning a dedicated room into the ultimate private cinema built for family bonding and big-screen excitement.
A Picture Larger Than Life
At 175 inches, the massive Stewart Filmscreen is an absolute showstopper. But the real magic happens behind the glass: because the screen material is micro perforated, the main speakers sit completely hidden behind the image itself. When characters speak on screen, their voices come straight from their lips, making movie magic feel shockingly real for kids and adults alike.
To light up a display this huge, Spartan Concepts installed Epson’s powerhouse QL7000 laser projector alongside a state of the art madVR video processor. The result? Mind-blowing 4K picture quality, vibrant colors, and deep contrast that bring everything from animated family favorites to blockbuster action movies to life in vivid detail.
Sound You Can Feel
Great cinema is only half about the picture, the rest is all in the audio. Spartan Concepts built a custom surround-sound system using 17 individual speakers and subwoofers strategically placed throughout the room:
- Eye-Level & Overhead Sound: Nine surround speakers and four ceiling speakers wrap the room in a 3D bubble of audio, so you can hear every subtle whisper or overhead jet roar.
- Balanced Bass: Four subwoofers hidden in the front and back keep the deep bass smooth and punchy across both rows of seating,no bad seats in the house!
- Smart Tuning: A Trinnov audio processor fine-tunes the sound specifically to the room’s shape, making dialogue crisp and easy to hear without having to constantly tweak the volume.
Magic at the Touch of a Button
To set the mood, built-in Lucetta LED lighting gently warms the room for chatting and snack breaks, then automatically dims down to a true dark-theater glow when the film starts.
Best of all, you don’t need a degree in engineering to run it. Projection, sound, and lights are all tied into one simple controller. Whether it’s a cozy Friday night Disney marathon with the kids or hosting friends for the big game, launching the full cinematic experience takes just a single tap.
For Spartan Concepts, this project was all about bringing people together, combining world class technology with practical design to create unforgettable moments right at home.
