I’ve become a little obsessed with tissue lately — not fat, tissue. The skin, the connective layers underneath it, the fascia holding everything together, and how all of it moves and interacts. It’s a far more interesting story than the one we usually tell about bodies, and it’s changed how I think about body contouring entirely.
Take cellulite. It’s not simply about having too much fat. Its appearance comes from the structure of the connective tissue beneath the skin, how fat is organized, and skin elasticity. That relationship shifts as we age, as hormones change, and as weight and muscle mass fluctuate. None of that is something you can out-diet or out-exercise your way past. It’s structural.
This is where a treatment like LPG Endermologie becomes interesting to me.

LPG Endermologie uses controlled suction and mechanical rollers to gently mobilize the skin and underlying tissue. There’s no heat, no freezing, nothing being destroyed — it works through mechanical stimulation alone. Research has looked at its effects on cellulite appearance, skin elasticity, circulation, and body contours. A session feels less like a procedure and more like a deep, rhythmic massage, which is part of why clients tend to come back for it, not just push through it.
What I like about this approach: it’s not about making your body smaller. It’s about improving the quality of the tissue you already have. That distinction matters to me, and I think it matters to a lot of people who are tired of chasing a number.
At Revival, I’ve always believed wellness is about creating the conditions for the body to function and feel its best — not fighting against it. LPG Endermologie fits that philosophy. It’s another way to care for the body from the outside in, and it pairs naturally with the kind of recovery work we’re already doing — red light therapy, infrared sauna, lymphatic drainage — because all of it comes down to the same idea: give the body the inputs it needs, and let it do what it already knows how to do.

No non-invasive treatment is a magic wand, and results vary person to person and build gradually over a series of sessions, not overnight. But there’s something worth paying attention to in an approach that looks at the whole body instead of one number on a scale.
As we get older, our wellness goals shift. Maybe it’s less about losing another five pounds and more about feeling comfortable in your own skin. Maybe it’s recovery, or the look of cellulite, or definition you haven’t felt in years, or simply feeling more connected to your body than you have in a while.
Body contouring doesn’t have to mean changing your body into something else. Sometimes it’s about working with the body you already have — and helping its tissue look, feel, and function at its best. That’s the version of this work I’m most interested in.
