An Evening of Flowers, Flow & Community
Somewhere along the way, we decided that daily aches are just part of adulthood. The stiff back when you get out of bed. The shoulder that’s been “a little off” for two years. The knee you’ve learned to work around instead of fix. Most people I meet have quietly accepted these as the cost of getting older, being busy, or being a parent.
But I don’t think that’s necessary. After nearly a decade treating patients in the Merrimack Valley, I’ve seen what changes when people stop accepting it.
I founded The Body Remedy in Andover because I wanted to practice chiropractic differently than what most people expect. I wanted the time to treat the whole person in front of me, and the freedom to use the techniques I believe will actually help. My visits are one-on-one, hands-on, and focused on the tissue that’s tight, restricted, or irritated, using techniques like dry needling, cupping, and manual therapy. I also work with my patients to identify which daily activities are triggering or contributing to their pain, and help them adjust those activities accordingly. The goal isn’t just short-term relief, it’s understanding each patient’s unique reason for why something keeps happening, and addressing every piece of it so we can actually resolve it.
That distinction matters more than people realize. A lot of care out there treats the pain without ever learning about the person behind it: how you move, how you load your body, what your daily life actually demands of you. When that gets addressed, people don’t just feel better for a day. They’re able to return to the workouts, sports, and activities they’d quietly given up on.
My treatment isn’t only for athletes, though I treat plenty of them, including runners, lifters, and weekend warriors. It’s for the parent chasing a toddler around the yard, the gardener, the teacher on their feet all day. Anyone who wants to feel capable in their own body again, instead of compensating for it.
If there’s one thing I want people to take from this, it’s the following: pain that’s stuck around for months or years isn’t just something to live with. It’s very often fixable, with the right hands-on care and a plan built around your actual life, not a generic protocol.
You don’t have to accept “just getting older” as the explanation for everything that hurts.
