What if going to the dentist wasn’t simply about fixing teeth?
What if it was an opportunity to better understand your health?
What if instead of being told what you need, you were educated about your options and invited into the decision?
What if your dentist looked at more than just your smile?
That is the idea behind Naturally You Dentistry.
Why “Naturally You”?
The name says a lot about who we are.
We believe your dental care should be centered around you.
Not a checklist. Not a production line. Not a one-size-fits-all treatment philosophy.
You.
Your history. Your concerns. Your goals. Your preferences. Your family. Your health. Your smile.
Dr. Javana’s philosophy of dentistry has always been rooted in helping people feel seen, heard, and cared for. After graduating from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry, she continued developing an approach to dentistry that looks beyond traditional tooth-by-tooth treatment and considers whole-person health.
We Believe Education Creates Empowerment
Healthcare can sometimes feel confusing.
You sit in a dental chair and hear words like “crown,” “bone loss,” “periodontal disease,” “frenectomy,” or “occlusion,” and you may not know what any of it means.
We believe you deserve an explanation.
We want our patients to understand their oral health well enough to participate confidently in their care.
That means we encourage questions. We explain what we’re seeing. We discuss recommendations and alternatives. And we respect that ultimately, your healthcare decisions belong to you.
We Believe Prevention Is Better Than Constantly Repairing Damage
Traditional dentistry has often focused on repairing problems after they develop.
We certainly provide restorative care when it is needed.
But we also want to ask:
How can we prevent this from happening again?
That might mean looking at oral hygiene, nutrition, habits, bacterial balance, dental materials, airway, oral function, or other contributing factors.
Prevention isn’t one thing. It’s a relationship between our environment, the choices we make every day, and the care we receive from our dental team.

We Look at the Bigger Picture
The mouth is an incredibly important part of the body. It allows us to eat, speak, swallow, breathe, and communicate.
That’s why our practice has expanded beyond traditional preventive and restorative dentistry to include airway and oral-function assessments, tongue and lip-tie evaluations, laser frenectomy when appropriate, and myofunctional therapy through our trained team.
When a concern extends beyond dentistry, we believe collaboration is important.
Sometimes the best care involves working alongside other professionals who can contribute to the bigger picture.
We Believe in Thoughtful Dentistry
Our practice is intentionally focused on treatments that are as conservative and thoughtful as possible.
We use modern technology and carefully selected materials while continuing to educate ourselves through advanced training.
We offer options such as biocompatible filling materials, ozone therapy, fluoride-flexible preventive care, and SMART-certified mercury-safe amalgam removal when appropriate.
But perhaps even more important than the materials or technology is the philosophy behind them:
Don’t automatically do more. Do what is appropriate for the person in front of you.
We Believe Your Experience Matters
Dental care isn’t only clinical. It is personal. For someone who has had a wonderful dental experience, an appointment may feel routine. For someone who has experienced pain, embarrassment, anxiety, sensory overload, or dental trauma, walking through the front door can require enormous courage. We see that.
We want our office to be a place where patients feel respected and where their concerns are taken seriously.
This Is Why We Do What We Do
At the end of the day, Naturally You Dentistry isn’t simply about teeth.
It’s about people. It’s about helping families understand their oral health. It’s about preventing problems whenever possible. It’s about preserving natural teeth. It’s about thoughtful treatment. It’s about continuing to learn. It’s about listening.
And it’s about creating a dental experience where you don’t feel like a number—you feel like a person because your oral health is part of you and your dental care should be, too.
