It’s Just Time to Create a Better Plan
For many small business owners, social media has become one more thing on an already very long to-do list. You know you should post. You have photos sitting in your camera roll, ideas saved on Instagram, and maybe even a half-finished reel somewhere in your drafts. But when it comes time to actually share something, the question is always the same: “What should I post today?”
The answer usually isn’t more content; it’s a better plan.
Consistent social media doesn’t mean posting every day, jumping on every trend, and spending hours creating content. It means knowing what you want to say, who you want to say it to, and what you want your audience to do next.
Start by identifying a few topics you want your business to be known for. Think about the questions your customers ask most often, the problems you help solve, the stories behind your business, and the things your customers need to understand before they’re ready to work with you.
Those topics become the foundation of your content.
From there, instead of asking, “What should I post?” every time you open Instagram, Facebook or LinkedIn, you can ask a much easier question: “What does my audience need to hear from me this week?”
That might mean anything from sharing a customer story, showing behind the scenes of your business, answering a common question, or simply reminding people what you offer.
Your social media doesn’t have to be perfectly curated to be effective. It is so important that your social media is an extension of you and sounds like you, supports your business, and gives people a reason to keep paying attention.
Before you create another post, take a few minutes to make a plan. Showing up consistently gets a whole lot easier when you know what you want to say.
