Getting to the Root of It: What a BioScan Can Reveal About Your Health

In a world of rising healthcare costs, lengthy specialist waitlists, and treatments that address symptoms rather than sources, more people are asking a different question: What is actually causing this? It’s a question that sits at the heart of functional and holistic medicine—and it’s the driving force behind one of the most powerful wellness tools available today: the BioScan.

As a licensed healthcare provider, I’m passionate about helping our community understand what this technology is, how it works, and why it may be the missing piece in your health journey.

What Is a BioScan?

The BioScan SRT is an FDA-approved technology—similar in concept to an EKG—designed to support the body’s natural healing process by detecting imbalances and underlying root-cause stressors. It works by incorporating three established modalities: biofeedback, acupressure, and homeopathy, creating a comprehensive picture of what may be disrupting your body’s optimal function.

This is a non-invasive scan. There are no needles, no discomfort, and no lengthy procedures. The process begins with an Intake Visit, where you’ll meet with one of our licensed practitioners to thoroughly discuss your health history and current concerns. From there, we collect three forms of your DNA—hair, nail, and saliva samples—which are analyzed in-house at our Watertown, Wisconsin location. Shortly after, you’ll return for a Results and Review appointment, where your practitioner walks you through personalized recommendations designed to support your body’s natural ability to restore balance and healing.

What Can a BioScan Identify?

One of the most remarkable things about the BioScan is the depth and breadth of what it can assess. In a single scan, we can explore areas including hormones, digestion, inflammation, immune function, nervous system regulation, environmental stressors, food sensitivities, and toxins or pathogens. It can also shed light on potential imbalances related to allergies, gastrointestinal function, organ health, vitamin deficiencies, chronic fatigue, and chronic pain—areas that are often overlooked or misattributed in conventional care settings.

Importantly, the BioScan is not meant to diagnose, treat or cure disease. It is a powerful assessment tool that gives our practitioners and our clients a clearer, more complete picture of what the body may be signaling, so that we can respond with thoughtful, personalized support.

Who Is the BioScan For?

The short answer: almost anyone. Whether you are struggling with chronic symptoms that haven’t responded to conventional treatments, navigating a complex health history or simply curious to learn more about your body, the BioScan provides valuable, actionable insights.

Many clients come to us after years of searching for answers—having spent significant time and money with other providers without finding relief. Again and again, we hear the same thing: “I wish I had come here first.” That response is both humbling and motivating. It reinforces why root-cause testing matters so much.

And for the animal lovers among us—yes, the BioScan works for pets, too. We have a Certified Animal Naturopath on staff who applies the same thoughtful, holistic approach to our four-legged patients.

Taking the First Step

True healing begins with understanding. The BioScan is, in our professional assessment, the most comprehensive root-cause testing tool available in wellness care today. If you’ve been searching for clarity, it may be exactly the starting point your health journey has been missing.
