Pilates: Why it Should be at the Top of Your Fitness Regime

Pilates remains a top fitness choice a full century after Joseph Pilates created Contrology. And it has been gaining popularity at a rapid pace and with good reason. People love it because it is extremely effective at strengthening your body.

Pilates builds deep core power, fixes poor posture, and adapts easily to all fitness levels without causing harsh joint impact.

THE CORE FOUNDATIONS

MIND-BODY CONNECTION: Pilates focuses heavily on concentration and breath.

DEEP STABILIZATION: A signature focus of Pilates is Core Engagement. Every movement activates core muscles. Pilates targets small deep muscles instead of just superficial layers which means core activation from the inside out.

LOW-IMPACT MOVEMENT: Pilates protects joints while still building muscular tone, endurance and flexibility.

IMPROVES MOBILITY AND PREVENTS INJURY: Pilates keeps the spine flexible as the body ages. Through regular sessions you will notice increased range of motion and suppleness.

POSTURE PERFECT: Bad posture leads to a range of issues from back pain to reduced energy levels. Pilates emphasizes spinal alignment and awareness, and consistent practice corrects imbalances, training you to stand tall and be aware of how you carry yourself.

ACCESSIBLE FOR ALL FITNESS LEVELS: No matter your age, experience or current fitness level, Pilates meets you where you are. A seasoned instructor will ensure the workout is tailored to fit your needs, offering modifications for beginners and challenges for those looking to advance.

LASTING RESULTS: Pilates is resistance training focusing on building strength from the inside out. This means better flexibility, improved mobility, stronger muscles, and enhanced posture that actually sticks around.
