November brings cooler temperatures, and every crisp fall breeze and crunching leaf underfoot reminds us that the holidays are on their way. While the natural world around us seems to slow down, our events calendar certainly does not.
This month begins with opportunities to plan ahead for some of Auburn’s favorite annual events. Our Spring Season Brochure hits the shelves this month! While you’re enjoying turkey and pumpkin pie, take a moment to browse our offerings – enrollment begins December 1st!
Registration for the Jingle Jog 5K and Santa Stroll Fun Run is underway, with prices increasing November 15th. Be sure to secure your spot by November 8th to guarantee an event shirt.
Art takes center stage this month with the Fall Open Exhibition hosted by the Auburn Arts Association. Featuring contemporary and traditional still-life works by local artists, the exhibition will be on view November 5th through December 4th in the Art Gallery at the Jan Dempsey Community Arts Center.
On November 14th and 15th, the Lake Wilmore Pickleball Courts will host the inaugural Auburn Pickleball Classic! Registration closes November 8th.
Families can kick off the holiday season with the return of Letters to Santa beginning November 16th. Children can drop off letters at mailboxes located at the Harris Center, Boykin Community Center, and Lake Wilmore Park Recreation Center. Each letter will receive a personalized response from Santa. Be sure to include your child’s name and return address. Letters must be submitted by December 14th.

On November 21st, the 20th Annual Holiday Art Sale returns from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Jan Dempsey Community Arts Center and Frank Brown Recreation Center. This seasonal favorite features handmade pottery, paintings, jewelry, photography, textiles, culinary treats, and more.

Finally, throughout the year, families with young children can stay active at Little Movers Gym Time Thursday mornings at the Lake Wilmore Park Recreation Center. Children 5 and under, accompanied by a parent or guardian, can enjoy a fun preschool open gym experience.
Whether you’re getting a head start on holiday shopping, making memories with your family, exploring local art, or stepping onto the pickleball court, November in Auburn offers something for everyone. We invite you to celebrate the season, connect with your community, and enjoy all that our beautiful public spaces have to offer.
