A New Era of Aesthetics: Look Well, Feel Well, Be Well

Eight years ago, when SPRY Skin & Wellness opened, the world of aesthetics looked very different. Patients often came in asking about one specific concern: a wrinkle they wanted gone, a line they had suddenly noticed, or a treatment they had heard about from a friend. Aesthetic medicine was frequently approached as a series of individual fixes—Botox for this, filler for that, a facial before a special event.

Today, the conversation has changed. Our patients are more educated. They are thinking about their skin earlier. They care about longevity and prevention. And, perhaps most importantly, they want to look like themselves.

They aren’t necessarily coming to us saying, “Make me look younger.” Instead, we hear things like, “I want to look less tired.” “I want my skin to look healthier.” “I don’t want people to know I’ve had anything done.” Or simply, “I want to feel like myself again.” That evolution is one of the things we love most about where aesthetic medicine is headed.

As SPRY celebrates our eighth anniversary, it feels like the perfect opportunity not only to celebrate where we’ve been, but also to talk about what modern aesthetic and wellness care can and should look like. One of the biggest misconceptions about an aesthetic consultation is that you need to walk in already knowing what treatment you want, but you definitely don’t. In fact, we’d rather you tell us what bothers you, how you want to feel, and what you’re hoping to accomplish than tell us which syringe, laser or device you think you need. Our skin assessment consultation is designed to educate you based on your why now, short- and long-term goals, and timeline.

Starting with your why helps guide you into a treatment plan designed to get long-term, natural looking results. That is why the skin assessment consultation appointment has always been such an important part of our philosophy at SPRY. We look at where you are today, where you’d like to go, and how we can create a realistic roadmap to get there. Sometimes that roadmap involves injectables. Sometimes it’s skin treatments, collagen stimulation, medical-grade skincare, wellness treatments, or a combination of treatments over time.

Sometimes the right plan includes waiting. The goal isn’t to do everything. It’s to do the right things, at the right time, for the right person. There is a reason we talk so much about skin health. You can beautifully balance someone’s facial features, but if their skin is inflamed, dehydrated, sun damaged or struggling with pigment, they still may not feel like their best self. Healthy skin is the foundation of aesthetics.

And healthy skin doesn’t necessarily mean perfect skin. It means understanding what your individual skin needs and creating consistency around it. That might include daily sun protection, medical-grade skincare, treatments that improve texture and tone, addressing inflammation or pigmentation, or procedures designed to support collagen production. Technology has also given us more options than ever before. Instead of relying on one treatment to solve every concern, we can combine modalities strategically and create plans that work over months and years. Great aesthetic care isn’t about what we can accomplish before next weekend. It’s about what we can do today that will still serve you five or ten years from now.

One of the most exciting changes we’ve seen in aesthetics is the shift toward prevention and what is often referred to as “collagen banking.” Beginning in our 20s and 30s, our natural collagen production gradually declines. Over time, we begin to notice changes in firmness, elasticity, facial volume, and skin quality. Historically, aesthetics focused heavily on correcting those changes after they became noticeable. Today, we can be much more proactive.

Treatments designed to support the body’s own collagen production have become an important part of long-term aesthetic planning. Depending on someone’s age, anatomy and goals, that might mean microneedling, energy-based treatments, biostimulator injectables or other technologies designed to encourage the skin and underlying tissues to function more optimally.

This doesn’t mean everyone needs to start treatments at a certain age. There is no magic birthday when you suddenly “need” Botox, filler, laser, or anything else. It means we now have the ability to think ahead. The conversation becomes less about chasing aging and more about supporting healthy aging. That’s a distinction that matters.

All these topics will be discussed in detail to create the perfect treatment plan just for you during your skin assessment consultation at SPRY. As mentioned before, there is no need to come with a plan in mind, that can be overwhelming. Our expert providers will ask the questions to help guide the creation of the perfect treatment plan for you.

Celebrating Eight Years—and What’s Next

This year, we’re incredibly excited to celebrate SPRY’s eighth anniversary with the people who made those eight years possible: our patients and our community. Our anniversary party isn’t simply about marking another year in business. It’s an opportunity to celebrate the relationships we’ve built, introduce people to our team, share what’s new at SPRY, and of course, have a little fun together. Whether you’ve been with us from the beginning, recently discovered SPRY or have been curious about aesthetics but weren’t quite sure where to start, you are welcome. Come ask questions, meet us, and learn what is possible.

Simply come as you are. After eight years, that remains one of the things I hope people understand most about SPRY. We’re not here to create a different version of you.  We’re here to help you care for the one you already are. And we can’t wait to celebrate eight years of doing exactly that.

SPRY’s Anniversary Party, “The 8th Edition,” will take place on November 19th, 2026, from 4-7 PM. It is an open house style party, so come and go as you please. There will be light bites, drinks, live demos, product and procedure discussions, thousands of dollars in prizes to be won, and special one night only promotions you do not want to miss.
