Announcing The SCAL Method: Your Guide to Total Being Fitness

If you’ve been following The SCAL Method podcast, you know the four arenas: Heart, Mind, Body, and Soul. You’ve heard the teaching on emotional regulation, critical thinking, physical stewardship, and feeding your soul through prayer and Scripture. Hopefully you’ve found something useful along the way. Today I’m sharing something different: a complete system I’ve built to address the most common problem I saw in myself and nearly everyone I encountered.

Let me take a quick step back here. The framework behind the podcast represents more than a decade of coaching work. I’ve spent over ten years working one-on-one with clients, identifying the patterns that create fragmentation, testing the protocols that produce integration, and refining the frameworks that actually work. The podcast shares just a glimpse of what I’ve learned.

A while back, I mentioned that I was working on a book. That book is finally here.

On April 28, I’m releasing The SCAL Method: Your Guide to Total Being Fitness.

This is everything I’ve taught on the podcast. This is the culmination of ten plus years of coaching. It covers all arenas, fully organized, plus an additional arena I’ve never covered on the pod. The book contains six chapters total: the four arenas you know (Soul, Heart, Mind, Body), plus Endurance (or Strategic Discomfort) and Relationships.

Each chapter contains the specific protocols for training that aspect of your being. The five-step Heart process for naming, accepting, analyzing, expressing, and reframing emotions. The five-step Mind protocol for perceiving, comprehending, evaluating, deciding, and acting with clarity. The four-step Body cycle of training, recovery, adaptation, and repetition. The four-step Soul practice of receiving, reflecting, responding, and repeating. Plus, the complete teaching on Endurance as strategic discomfort and Relationships as the outward expression of internal change.

Every chapter includes biblical foundations because Scripture has been teaching this type of total being integration for thousands of years. Every chapter includes scientific validation because it supports and confirms the ideas Scripture brings up. And every chapter includes practical tools you can implement immediately. Throughout the book, you’ll find practice prompts—specific exercises designed to build the habits that create a lasting transformation.

The book runs close to 300 pages and comes in physical and digital formats. You can read it cover to cover or jump to your weakest arena and start there. Either way, you’ll have the complete framework in your hands.

I’ve also built a free assessment tool that evaluates your current state across all six arenas and identifies your archetype based on your scoring pattern. The assessment shows you exactly where you’re strong, where you’re weak, and where to focus first. If you take the assessment, you’ll receive personalized guidance for your specific pattern. The assessment goes live this month and will remain free permanently.

For those who want guided implementation with video demonstrations and progressive practices, I’ll be releasing The SCAL Method Implementation Course in the coming weeks. More details on that soon.

Here’s what matters: I’ve spent over a decade developing this approach through coaching. I’ve tested every framework personally and refined each through real coach-client relationships. The work is comprehensive, biblically grounded, and practically applicable.

The SCAL Method: Your Guide to Total Being Fitness launches April 28. The pre-sale is live now at saycheeseandlift.com.

If you’ve been listening to the podcast and thinking “I need this in a format I can reference,” that time has come. If you’ve been waiting for the complete system before you start, the wait is over. If you’re tired of being fragmented across multiple arenas while excelling in one or two, the framework is ready.
