When disaster strikes a home or business, the damage can feel overwhelming. For Delta Restoration, those moments are exactly when their work begins—bringing order, safety, and restoration back to properties across Northeast Louisiana.
Delta Restoration specializes in emergency water and fire mitigation, helping clean up and restore properties affected by unexpected disasters. The company also provides professional floor and rug cleaning services, along with mold remediation, ensuring homes and businesses are not only repaired but returned to safe, livable conditions.
Founded on January 15, 2025, Delta Restoration is a newer name in the region, but its experience runs much deeper. Owner Derrick Rushing is a West Monroe High School graduate (Class of 2004), whose career in restoration began long before the company was officially established. After moving to Dallas in 2006 in search of opportunity, he landed a position with one of the nation’s leading restoration companies, gaining hands-on experience in large-scale disaster recovery.
By 2010, Derrick returned to Louisiana and continued developing his expertise in damage assessment and building risk evaluation. Over the past two decades, he has been involved in more than 4,000 homes, with each project bringing unique challenges and valuable lessons in how to properly restore and protect structures.
That depth of experience is what ultimately shaped Delta Restoration’s philosophy today: go the extra mile for every customer. The company understands that most clients are facing some of the most stressful moments of their lives, often dealing with damage they never expected or prepared for. Because of that, Delta Restoration approaches every job with urgency, compassion, and a commitment to doing things the right way.
“My biggest inspiration is the opportunity to make things better than I found them,” Derrick shared. “We’re grateful for the chance to step into people’s lives during difficult moments and help create a positive outcome.”
At the core of the company’s work is a belief that restoration is about more than repairs—it’s about peace of mind. Every project is approached with a positive mindset and a problem-solving attitude, treating each day like a new challenge and opportunity.
That perspective has led to both meaningful work experiences and memorable moments in the field. From hurricane-season jobs along the coast to unexpected jobsite encounters, no two days in restoration are ever the same. One lighthearted memory includes learning firsthand that “you can’t just have a fire on the beach,” a reminder during coastal hurricane cleanup work that safety always comes first. Another came from a surprised homeowner asking, “Who pays to get this house out of my house?”—a moment that highlights just how overwhelming disaster recovery can feel to customers.
Outside of work, Derrick has spent most of his life between Louisiana and Texas. A former West Monroe High School football player, he is also a father of two. His son Colt works with the Boy Scouts during the summers as a high adventure camp guide and now in logistics, while his daughter Shelby is currently studying Electrical Engineering at Louisiana Tech University, inspired by her time on the robotics team at West Monroe.
He is also an avid runner, having completed the Louisiana Marathon in 2020, and enjoys backcountry backpacking and serving in his local church community.
What sets Delta Restoration apart is its approach to building science and risk evaluation. Rather than simply repairing damage, the team assesses how a structure functions, identifying underlying issues and potential future risks. This allows them to not only restore homes—but improve them.
“Our knowledge of buildings goes beyond standard contracting,” Derrick said. “We look at risks, evaluate outcomes, and use building science to make homes better than they were before.”
For Delta Restoration, every call is more than a job—it’s an opportunity to restore stability when it’s needed most.
