Hi everyone. It’s time to welcome the world to Blaine again this July at Target USACup!
Every summer, Blaine proudly welcomes thousands of visitors for Target USA Cup, the largest youth soccer tournament in the Western Hemisphere and a truly one-of-a-kind event. As you may know, athletes compete in the world’s most widely played sport while families, fans, and community members enjoy eight days of activities designed to keep everyone nourished, refreshed, and entertained.
But did you also know, Target USA Cup has called Blaine home for more than 40 years. In 1985, the Sons of Norway brought USA Cup to the city and welcomed 78 teams to the Inaugural tournament. Since then, the event, now run by the National Sports Center Foundation, has grown to include teams from 78 countries and all 50 states, generating more than $42 million in economic impact annually across the Twin Cities metro.
I wanted to reach out to say thank you for helping us be such great hosts to this ever-growing event and invite you to experience the excitement first hand.
Watch an international match, explore the event zones, enjoy local food trucks, join a FIFA World Cup watch party or celebrate the world coming together during Opening Ceremonies. There is truly something for everyone.
We hope to see you and your families around the National Sports Center!
