It might start as a small observation. A teacher mentions something after school pickup. Your pediatrician suggests a follow-up. A family member gently shares what they’ve noticed. Or maybe it’s just a feeling you’ve been carrying, a quiet, persistent question you can’t quite put into words.

For many families, those moments mark the beginning of a search for answers.

Finding those answers can bring greater understanding, clarity, and confidence in what comes next.

Westside Children’s Therapy, the pediatric therapy organization serving families throughout Chicagoland, offers comprehensive autism diagnostic evaluations through an in-house team of licensed psychologists. What sets the program apart isn’t just clinical expertise. It’s continuity.

Families who already receive services through Westside can access diagnostics without starting over with an unfamiliar provider. And for families who are brand new to Westside, the evaluation can be a warm first introduction to an organization built around a family-first approach.

The program is designed primarily for children ages five and under, a period when early identification can make a meaningful difference in a child’s development and the support families are able to access. Evaluations for older children are available too.

WHAT FAMILIES CAN EXPECT

  • Evaluations completed by licensed psychologists
  • Clear answers and personalized next-step guidance
  • A supportive team that takes time to listen and answer questions
  • A process designed to help families move forward with confidence

The goal is a simple one: help families find answers, gain clarity, and feel confident about what comes next. Whether that means connecting with therapy services, understanding a child’s strengths and needs more deeply, or simply having language for something a family has long been feeling, the diagnostic team is there to help navigate the path forward.

The questions you’re carrying don’t have to wait. And you don’t have to carry them alone.
