Every year, I get calls from homeowners after a storm asking the same question: “Why did my tree fall?” The truth is, most trees don’t fail without warning. In fact, many have been showing signs of trouble for months—or even years.

Once a named storm is approaching, tree service companies quickly become overwhelmed, and it may be impossible to schedule preventive work before the weather arrives. Planning ahead gives you more options, allows work to be performed safely, and can help prevent expensive damage to your home, vehicles and neighboring properties.
Professional pruning isn’t about cutting trees back aggressively. It’s about removing dead or weakened limbs, improving the tree’s structure, reducing unnecessary wind resistance and helping the tree remain healthy for years to come.
