Age is strictly a number when it comes to the ultimate adrenaline rush. As the head instructor at Falcon Skydiving in Kansas City, I hear it all the time. Our owner, Ron Sharp, always jokes: “If I had a dollar for every time someone told me ‘That’s on my bucket list,’ I’d be a very rich man!”
Let me tell you, it is never too late to stop dreaming and start living! Just a few weeks ago, a phenomenal local customer crushed her 75th birthday by stepping out of our aircraft at 10,000 feet. She didn’t just cross it off her bucket list; she absolutely conquered it, proving you are practically a youngster in our skydiving community.
If a 75-year-old rockstar can smoothly transition into a thrilling 120 mph freefall, what is holding you back? There is no roller coaster “stomach-drop” here—just a feeling of pure, windy floating. After 45 seconds of pure exhilaration, the canopy opens into complete silence, revealing peaceful, panoramic views of the Kansas City landscape.

If you are ready to join her, here is how to prepare for your big day:
- Dress for Success: Wear tight athletic sneakers (no sandals or boots) and comfortable layers, as it gets chilly up high. Tie back long hair!
- Eat and Hydrate: Treat your jump like a light workout. Eat a normal, light meal 1 to 2 hours before arriving so your blood sugar stays stable.
- Follow the 24-Hour Rule: We enforce a strict zero-tolerance policy for alcohol or drugs within 24 hours of your jump.
- Master the “Banana”: During orientation, we will teach you to arch your hips forward and bend your knees. This body shape keeps you perfectly stable at 120 mph.
- Be Patient: Skydiving is completely weather-dependent. Bring a book, some snacks, and your friends, and plan to spend a half-day hanging out in our hangar!
Don’t forget your valid government-issued photo ID (must be 18+) and keep in mind our strict 220 lbs weight limit.
Grab your friends and lock in a memory that lasts forever!
