  • Copied!

There’s something exciting happening along the Dove Valley and Sonoran Desert corridor. Verdin by Taylor Morrison is quickly taking shape, bringing new homeowners, beautiful homes, impressive amenities and even more attention to this growing area of North Phoenix. And people are taking notice! At the time of this writing, 29 homes are already occupied by Verdin’s first homeowners, with another 120 homes sold throughout the community.

Five Gated Neighborhoods

One of the things that makes Verdin unique is its variety. Rather than one large neighborhood filled with similar homes, Verdin features five separate gated neighborhoods, each offering its own collection of floorplans, home sizes and features. The five collections—Discovery, Passage, Odyssey, Summit and Capstone—offer homes ranging from approximately 1,982 to nearly 4,500 square feet. Buyers can choose from single- and two-story designs, spacious single-level homes, multigenerational options, RV and oversized garages, home offices, flex spaces, prep kitchens, secondary suites and even casitas, depending on the neighborhood and floorplan.

This variety gives Verdin the ability to appeal to many different homeowners and stages of life—from those wanting a smaller, easy-to-maintain home to families needing more space and buyers searching for a luxury residence.

The Nest: The Heart of Verdin

Perhaps one of Verdin’s biggest attractions is The Nest, its private community hub created exclusively for Verdin homeowners. With more than 23,000 square feet under one roof, The Nest is designed as a place where neighbors can gather, families can play and friendships can grow. Residents can grab something to eat at the café, work out in the fitness center, enjoy the movement studio or head outside to take advantage of the beautiful Arizona weather.

And then there’s the pool! The Nest offers lap and recreational swimming areas, including a beach-entry pool, creating the perfect place to splash, swim or simply relax on a warm Arizona afternoon. Residents can also enjoy pickleball courts, outdoor gathering areas, a playground and a gated dog park.

The Sonoran Desert in Your Backyard

Verdin’s location is another major part of its appeal. Positioned alongside the Phoenix Sonoran Preserve, residents have convenient access to more than 36 miles of hiking and biking trails. It’s an incredible combination: modern new construction and resort-style amenities surrounded by the saguaros, mountains, wildlife and open desert that make this part of Arizona so special.

What Will Verdin Mean for Our Area?

For those of us who already live in Dove Valley and the surrounding communities, Verdin’s impact extends beyond its gates. Hundreds of new households mean additional demand for restaurants, grocery stores, retail, medical and professional services, recreation and other neighborhood businesses. As the population grows, our area may become even more attractive for future commercial development.

Verdin will also introduce more homebuyers to the Dove Valley, Sonoran Foothills and North Phoenix corridor, bringing greater visibility and new energy to our corner of the Valley.

With 29 homes already occupied and another 120 sold at the time of this writing, Verdin is quickly transitioning from a new development into a true neighborhood. As more families move in and the community continues to grow, it will be exciting to watch Verdin become part of the larger Dove Valley area and see what new businesses, services and opportunities this growth may bring to all who call this beautiful part of North Phoenix home.
