“I’ll be the first to admit, my wheels are always turning about which inventory lines and pieces come next,” Duffy says with a laugh. “I love finding unique, beautiful trends you don’t see in every jewelry store. Patty and I spend hours at trade shows trying to find the perfect blend of classic jewelry and new trends—and when we find a designer or piece we absolutely love, we can’t wait to bring it home to Kent Island.”

“We’re very selective about what we bring into the store,” Duffy explains. “I don’t want our showcases filled with run-of-the-mill, lackluster jewelry you see at chain stores, mass-produced and looking like everything else. I want pieces that make people stop, look twice, and say, ‘Wow, where did you find that?'”
Patty shares that excitement.
“At times, Mary Jo and I will see a piece and immediately know we have to have it,” Patty says. “We get just as excited about the jewelry as our customers do. And there’s nothing better than seeing someone try on pieces they never would have considered and absolutely fall in love with.”

I, on the other hand, love the creative side, finding beautiful designs, discovering new collections, and turning big ideas into reality.”
Mary Jo brings a unique combination of business leadership, operational expertise, and a creative designer’s eye. With an entrepreneurial spirit and a passion for beautiful jewelry, she finds new ways to grow the business by introducing emerging trends and collections while delivering an exceptional customer experience.
“Mary Jo is always three steps ahead with ongoing new ideas. I on the other hand bring a different perspective. We balance each other out, and at the end of the day, we both want the same thing: to give our customers beautiful jewelry, honest guidance, and an experience they can trust.”
