Jessica Cervantes, MD, FAAD Providing Comprehensive Dermatologic Care
Jessica Cervantes, MD, FAAD is a Harvard-trained, board-certified dermatologist specializing in medical, cosmetic, and surgical dermatology in Miami, Florida. Her approach to skin care is deeply personal—shaped by her own experience with cystic acne and alopecia areata—which ultimately inspired her to pursue dermatology and dedicate her career to helping patients achieve healthy, confident skin at every stage of life.
Dr. Cervantes graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Miami on a full academic scholarship before earning her medical degree from the University of Miami Leonard M. Miller School of Medicine. There, she graduated with highest honors, was inducted into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society (ΑΩΑ), and received a Research Distinction Award after completing an additional year dedicated to dermatologic basic science and clinical research—underscoring her commitment to evidence-based, innovative care.
Following medical school, Dr. Cervantes completed a post-doctoral internal medicine transitional year at Holy Cross Hospital in Fort Lauderdale, where she served on the front lines during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic and was honored with the Resident of the Year Award for her dedication and leadership. She then went on to complete a highly competitive dermatology residency within the Harvard Dermatology Program in Boston, training at world-class institutions including Massachusetts General Hospital, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Lahey Clinic, and Boston Children’s Hospital.
Her research background includes extensive work in complex medical dermatology, with a focus on conditions such as alopecia areata, cutaneous and systemic lupus, and atopic dermatitis. Dr. Cervantes has participated in multiple clinical trials as both a primary investigator and sub-investigator, and has contributed to peer-reviewed publications and national scientific presentations. This strong research foundation directly informs her clinical practice, allowing her to thoughtfully integrate emerging therapies and the latest scientific advances into highly personalized patient care.
Today, Dr. Cervantes provides comprehensive dermatologic care, with expertise spanning medical dermatology—including acne, rosacea, eczema, psoriasis, pigmentary disorders, hair loss, and skin cancer—as well as advanced cosmetic treatments. Her aesthetic services include state-of-the-art laser technologies, skin resurfacing, neuromodulators such as Botox®, dermal fillers, biostimulators, microneedling, and customized skincare regimens designed to enhance natural beauty while prioritizing long-term skin health.
Known for her meticulous attention to detail, warm bedside manner, and honest, educational approach, Dr. Cervantes partners closely with each patient to develop individualized treatment plans tailored to their unique goals. Outside of the clinic, Dr. Cervantes is married to David, an internal medicine physician at Mount Sinai Hospital, and together they are the proud parents of their son, Lucas. She enjoys gardening, interior design, and long walks through her neighborhood—interests that mirror her approach to dermatology: thoughtful, refined, and grounded in balance.
