This summer, Miami Theater Center (MTC) is thrilled to welcome young artists back for another summer season of creativity, collaboration, and fun. After listening closely to feedback from our families, we’ve made a few exciting changes to better fit busy summer schedules.
First, we’ve introduced shorter two-week camp sessions, making it easier for families to mix camp with vacations and other summer plans. Each session is packed with theater, music, dance, and creative play, all culminating in a fun end-of-session showcase for families.
We’ve also lowered the minimum age to 6, opening the doors for even more young performers to experience the joy and confidence that comes from being on stage.
In addition, thanks to support from the Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs, MTC is launching a Teen Fellowship Program for ages 14–18. This exciting initiative will mentor teens interested in the performing arts, leadership, and working with younger students. Fellows will gain hands-on experience supporting classes, building creative skills, and learning what it takes to bring a production to life.
We are also currently hiring Summer Camp Counselors (18+). If you’re a college student home for the summer, or someone who loves theater, creativity, and working with kids, this is a great opportunity to gain experience while being part of a vibrant arts community.
And thanks to the generous continued support of the Susan Ackley Living Trust and Miami-Dade County, scholarships are available to help ensure that all children have access to the arts.
