How I have missed and appreciate all of you. This past year has been very hard on me. Just in case you are new to reading my articles, let me explain.
A few years ago, I discovered I had rectum cancer via a colonoscopy. With radiation and chemo we thought we got the cancer out of my system, but it came back in January of 2025. My treatments had to change because I could not get any more radiation and we had to shrink the tumor. So, surgery was my only option after having 9 chemo treatments.
Surgery was scheduled for December, 2025 but from January until the surgery my life was hell. My anus was removed, have a full-time colonoscopy bag and had a plastic surgeon cover the anus opening. The total surgery took over 6 hours but here I am.
I would like to thank everyone for the prayers, flowers, cards and emails. Many of you I have never met but it was wonderful hearing from all of my “loyal readers” and I thank you very much.
Now to travel business!
Right now, my website is being reconstructed. It will have a fresh new look and I am very excited. Over the years, if you have traveled with me, your photo may be on the site as well as on my FB business page and my personal page. So, check it out.
We are planning lots of great trips, both local bus trips as well as Collette tours. Here are a few that you might want to schedule.
If you love traveling with Collette, then join me in December, 2026 to visit the Christmas Markets of Montreal and Quebec City. The pricing is amazing and this is the last time it will be available. All the information is on my FB Business page or call me.
Our next trip will be The Colorado Rockies in May of ’27 and, by request, America’s Cowboy Country in October of ’27.
We will also be exploring Scotland and Ireland featuring Military Tattoo, but pricing right now is not available. Stay tuned for more information.
Bus trips are always fun and here are a few that are already planned for this year.
Our first trip is scheduled for Thursday, August 10th for a Luau High Tea Luncheon. Full lunch and tea and you will learn how to make a Ribbon Lei. Oh…don’t forget to wear some Hawaiian clothing. There will be time for some local shopping.
Another trip that is on the schedule is to the Winter Park Playhouse to see “The Rat Pack” in September.
Of course, Mazzaro Italian Market/Trader Joes as well as three different shows at the Straz Theater in Tampa are in the planning stages.
And cruises…I’m still working on some group cruises and we will be having my annual Golden Girls Cruise which is always lots of fun.
