As we reflect on our milestone 20th season, we are filled with gratitude for the dancers, families, staff, and community members who have helped make Evolution Dance Company what it is today.
For 20 seasons, EDC has been more than just a dance studio—it has been a place where friendships are built, confidence grows, and dancers are encouraged to become the best versions of themselves. We are incredibly proud of the dance community we have built right here in Selkirk, and are excited to continue dancing, learning, and growing together for many years to come.

This past season was one to remember. From our annual recital performances to our award-winning competitive teams, and our memorable production number that brought dancers of all ages together on stage, our dancers demonstrated dedication, teamwork, and passion every step of the way. While achievements and awards are always exciting, our greatest success continues to be watching dancers develop confidence, resilience, and lifelong friendships through the art of dance.
In today’s fast-paced digital world, dance provides children and youth with opportunities that extend far beyond the studio. Dance encourages physical activity, creativity, discipline, teamwork, and personal responsibility. It helps build self-confidence, communication skills, and a strong sense of belonging—qualities that support dancers both inside and outside the studio.

Our mission is to provide quality dance education, while inspiring dancers to be the best versions of themselves. Our teachers bring not only extensive knowledge and experience to the classroom, but also a genuine passion for teaching and mentoring young people. We are proud to foster a family-like environment, where dancers are encouraged to work hard, support one another, and celebrate each other’s successes.
As we look ahead to Season 21, we are excited to welcome both returning and new families into our dance family. Registration for the upcoming season is now open throughout the summer, and no prior dance experience is required. Whether your child dreams of performing on stage, wants to stay active, or is simply looking to try something new, there is a place for them at EDC. We can’t wait to continue creating memories, building confidence, and sharing our love of dance with the community for many seasons to come.
