A beautiful home is about more than cabinets, countertops, and carefully selected finishes. It’s about the moments that happen within its walls, the families who gather there, and the everyday routines that make a house feel like home.

As the owner of She Designs Kitchens & Baths in Punta Gorda, I believe the most meaningful designs begin with understanding the people who will live in them.

My journey in the remodeling industry began in 2016, working in wholesale granite, tile, and plumbing. Over the years, I gained hands-on experience in tile installation, cabinetry, countertops, kitchen and bath design, sales, and project coordination. Each role gave me a deeper understanding of how the many pieces of a remodeling project come together.

But becoming a mother to my two daughters, Victoria and Allison, gave me an entirely different perspective on design.

I began looking at homes not just through the eyes of a designer, but through the eyes of a mom. The kitchen became more than a place to prepare meals. It was where homework happened, holidays were celebrated, and our family reconnected at the end of the day.

That experience helped shape my approach to every project.

Design Around Your Daily Life

Before choosing materials or finishes, consider how your family uses the space. Do you need more storage? A better layout for entertaining? A bathroom that makes busy mornings easier?

The answers should guide the design. A beautiful space is even more valuable when it makes everyday life feel a little easier.

Balance Beauty With Function

It’s easy to fall in love with a photograph or the latest design trend, but the best choices are the ones that work for your home.

Thoughtful cabinetry, practical storage, durable materials, and well-planned layouts can make a meaningful difference in how a space looks, feels, and functions.

Remember That Remodeling Is a Process

One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is how overwhelming remodeling can feel for homeowners. Between materials, trades, timelines, and countless decisions, even an exciting project can become stressful.

Clear communication, thoughtful planning, and understanding your options from the beginning can help make the experience more manageable.

That’s why I created She Designs Kitchens & Baths: to bring together my industry experience and my passion for helping homeowners feel heard, supported, and confident throughout their projects.

Whether we’re designing a kitchen, bathroom, laundry room, or custom built-in, my goal is always the same: to create a space that reflects the people who call it home.

Because at the end of the day, great design isn’t just about how a room looks. It’s about how beautifully it works for the life happening inside it.
