How many treatments do I need?
This amount varies from patient to patient and is determined after your assessment by one of our highly trained nurses. They will take into consideration your concerns, your treatment goals and your expectations. Most patients do a series of 3-4 treatments.
What do I need to do or avoid after Sculptra treatments?
We ask patients to massage the treatment area for 5 minutes, 5 times a day, 5 days total. This ensures keeping the product smooth and prevents lumps and bumps from the product. Avoid herbal supplements like gingko, omega 3 and vitamin e, green tea and turmeric too. Avoid anti-inflammatories of any kind for 1 week post treatment to limit bruising.
Do Sculptra injections hurt?
Most patients report minimal discomfort during the treatment. Patients concerned are encouraged to take advantage of our topical numbing cream if they feel necessary and we always recommend a light snack for any patients who find needles overwhelming or have a history of fainting with needles.
Will I bruise after Sculptra treatments?
While our nurses are highly trained to educate and mitigate the risk of bruising on their end, this treatment still involves the use of needles and therefore bruising can occur. Any bruising that occurs around the treatment site can last up to several days.
When should I start Sculptra treatments?
You can start this at any age where signs of aging are becoming a concern. Patients tend to start around their late 20’s, early 30’s to get ahead and use this treatment as a preventative option, however patients from all ages benefit from this treatment as a stand-alone or as a complimentary therapy to an existing aesthetics plan. How does Sculptra differ from normal Filler?
