What if the next chapter of your student’s education could help them discover something they didn’t know was possible?

At SMCC, we believe school should be more than a place students go each day. It should be a place where they discover their strengths, explore new possibilities, build meaningful relationships, and grow into the person they are called to become.

That can look different for every student. A passion becomes a purpose. A quiet voice becomes a confident one. A challenge becomes an opportunity to grow. A talent becomes a way to serve others. These are the moments that help our Falcons and Kestrels find their wings.

Disciples, scholars, and servant-leaders – that is ultimately what we hope to form at SMCC – not simply students prepared for college and careers, but young people prepared to make a difference in the world around them.

For families considering Catholic education, there can be questions or even misconceptions. Do you have to be Catholic to attend SMCC? No. We are proud of our vibrant Catholic culture and our Campus Ministry programs that welcome students from a variety of faith backgrounds and teach them that the life that God calls each of us to is one lived in service to others.

Can SMCC meet my student’s educational needs? With three levels of learning, including Honors, College Prep, and Concept classes, we are able to meet every student where they are and ensure they understand that they are known and loved. Our outstanding Academic Support and Inclusion services, along with numerous AP and Dual Enrolled opportunities, mean every student, regardless of learning differences, can grow and succeed at SMCC.

What about cost? Choosing a Catholic education is an important financial decision. We can help make that investment more accessible. More than 75% of SMCC students share in over $1.7 million in scholarships each year. A Catholic education can be more affordable than you might think, and the results are worth every penny.

If you are beginning to explore what an SMCC education could look like for your student, there are several ways to experience our school. Our Open House is Sunday, November 8, from 11 AM to 2 PM. Families of students of all ages are invited to tour the campus, meet our staff, talk with students, and learn more about academics, athletics, activities, and student life.

For current eighth-grade students considering SMCC, the High School Placement Test will be offered on November 7, November 21, and December 5. Eighth-graders can also experience a typical day at SMCC through our Shadow Days. Students attend classes, enjoy lunch on campus, and meet faculty, staff, and students.

Choosing a high school can be a transformational decision. Ask questions. Visit the campus. Meet the people who will become part of your student’s journey. Most importantly, take the time to discover what your student can become.

Your student’s wings are waiting. Are you ready to see them fly?
