At my core, I am a mother and a daughter. I have always found joy in people—from children with their pure laughter to older generations who remind us how quickly life passes. I feel deeply blessed by the bond I share with my daughters, and much of who I am comes from wanting to make others feel seen, cared for, and valued.
Before Girlfriends Brow Bar, I was drawn to service in many forms—retail, customer service, makeup artistry for television, bridal, and editorial work. I love helping people feel good. Watching my mother value independence inspired me, and as a mother, I wanted to build a future my daughters could believe in.
Girlfriends Brow Bar was never just about beauty. It was about creating a space where women feel empowered, respected, and welcomed. Building locations across Prince George, Kelowna, and Vancouver has been a journey of growth, responsibility, sacrifice, and connection.
One of the hardest moments was leaving my daughters with my mother when I began my first business. They were both under three, just 11 months apart, and being away from them was incredibly painful. I was an immigrant in a new country, without a business background, trying to turn artistry and determination into something stable. But I kept going because I knew “MY WHY”. Looking back, I see it as something we accomplished as a family and as a team.
What makes Girlfriends Brow Bar different is our intention. We are not transactional—we are rooted in care, equality, respect, and connection. Every client is treated as an individual. We serve teenagers through to women in their 80s and beyond, each with her own story, and we honour that.
To me, beauty is simplicity. It is a genuine smile, presence, and confidence in imperfect moments. We do not believe in changing people; we believe in enhancing what is already there. Every person, every shade, and every story is beautiful. Empowering women means helping them feel seen. Women carry so much, and sometimes empowerment is a quiet reminder: “You can do this. You are worth it.” That is what we hope to offer our clients—small, consistent moments of support.
One of my proudest moments is seeing the respect in my daughters’ eyes when they recognize my values. Entrepreneurship helped me find my voice, advocate for others, and understand my own worth. Success and failure come and go, but values remain.
My advice to women who are afraid to start is simple: start small. Serve one person. Sell two products. Help one client. Define your values early and keep going. If your intention is right and you stay consistent, your roots will grow deeper.
