We know that reaching out for therapy is not always easy. Sometimes people come to us during a particularly difficult time—after a loss, during a major life transition, or when anxiety, depression, or stress has become overwhelming. Others are looking for help understanding their child’s behavior, strengthening family relationships, navigating parenting challenges, or simply finding better ways to cope with the demands of everyday life.

For more than 40 years, Goodman Psychologist Associates has been helping individuals and families navigate life’s challenges, strengthen relationships, and improve their emotional well-being. Located right here in St. Charles, our group practice provides a welcoming and supportive environment where children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families can find experienced mental health care close to home.

Whatever brings someone through our doors, our goal is to meet them where they are.

One of the benefits of Goodman Psychologist Associates is the diversity of experience within our team. Our practice includes psychologists, clinical social workers, counselors, and other mental health professionals with a wide range of specialties and therapeutic approaches. This allows us to thoughtfully match clients with a provider whose experience, personality, and clinical approach fit their individual needs.

Our clinicians work with concerns including anxiety, depression, ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, trauma, grief and loss, OCD, mood disorders, men’s and women’s issues, family and parenting concerns, relationship difficulties, self-esteem, stress, and major life transitions, among many others.

We also recognize that mental health needs look different at every stage of life. A young child struggling with emotions or behavior needs a very different approach than a teenager coping with anxiety, an adult experiencing burnout, or a family trying to communicate more effectively. Our providers draw from a variety of evidence-based and developmentally appropriate approaches, including cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, mindfulness-based interventions, trauma-informed therapy, play-based approaches, and other individualized treatment methods.

In addition to psychotherapy, Goodman Psychologist Associates offers psychological testing and assessment, including evaluations for concerns such as ADHD, learning difficulties, autism, and other emotional, behavioral, or developmental needs. Testing can help individuals and families better understand what may be contributing to challenges at home, at school, at work, or in relationships—and provide recommendations for moving forward.

Accessibility is also important to us. With offices in St. Charles and Oak Brook, as well as virtual appointment options, we strive to make receiving care as convenient as possible. Our clinicians offer a variety of daytime, evening, and weekend appointments to accommodate busy schedules.

Most importantly, we believe therapy should feel personal.

Good mental health care is not about applying the same solution to everyone. It is about building a relationship, understanding the whole person, identifying strengths as well as challenges, and working collaboratively toward meaningful change. Whether someone needs support for a specific concern or simply wants a place to talk, reflect, and grow, we want our clients to feel heard, respected, and comfortable being themselves.

As members of the St. Charles community, we are grateful for the opportunity to serve the individuals and families who live and work around us. We also value our relationships with local physicians, schools, community organizations, and other professionals who share our commitment to supporting the well-being of our community.

At Goodman Psychologist Associates, we believe seeking support is an investment in yourself, your relationships, and your quality of life. Whether you are facing a difficult season, looking for answers, or simply ready for something to change, our team is here to help you take the next step.

Because sometimes the right support can help you Feel Better, Live Fully.
